Hobie Retro Classic looks like a nice board.
Full rounded rails without a hard edge won't catch as much.
Nose is nice and big.
Multiple stringers look nice, but add weight and to the price.
Single fin will limit your experimentation

To a beginner any board ( properly sized ) is good, it really doesn't matter since you'll fall off and have a hard time paddling no matter what.
Single or multiple fin won't matter to a beginner since you can't turn and trim yet. But i would rather not ride a single fin in pitching beach break.
Just get the Hobie Peter Pan Slug.
