Board Opinion, safari surfboard

Postby Hugo » Wed Jul 19, 2017 3:08 pm

Hey guys,

Been a long time since I posted anything here , but I've been working a little bit too much :D

I've been searching for reviews from safari surfboards but havent found enough information.
I was wondering of what you guys think of this board . It's old, with a few dings in it, but it's for a good enough price (around 100euros). What do you think? I really dislike the built in fin, but maybe a shaper could put a box in it??
thanks

I dont know board pricing in your area, but if its water tight then looks pretty good. Bit hard to tell the rocker however (you dont want it too curved)

yes, you can get a box put in (or 3 boxes to allow for a thruster) pretty easily; dont know the cost but it will probably be another euro50 - 100 or so (I'm just guessing here and it depends on how many boxes you put in)

I wouldnt worry too much about who made it, so long as it looks solid, water tight and the rest

Why FIX what ain't BROKE ? Buy it, surf it. Who knows, the fin might be fine where it is -AS IS. If not wait till you reef it or it breaks off, then think about replacing it .
