Brent, if you would be decent enough to respond in logical design terms to any of the surfbord design information which I have offered on this site then I will answer your questions as clearly as I can.

Until then, I would appreciate it if you would cease to post insulting remarks.

Thankyou very much.

You offer this site nothing but half-baked opinions and web researched pseudo-science.
It was nice with you gone. Abit temporarily.
Ah well.

Actually Phil I logged back in because I received a Personal Message from Babyboarder asking me for information on fin and rocker theory.

You will find the first part of my answer to his question on the "Olo, Leviosa" thread

If you would do me the honour of reading this short essay, then perhaps you might be able to offer some constructive criticism.

Cheers!

I watched one of your movies that you posted on Surfermag BB and im not trying to be a jerk, but how can you think those boards are fast?? :?
Oh and i really liked the part where you realize you dropped in on someone and then cutback and knock him off his board.

Silly boy, a fast board can also go slowly when the waves are slow.

If you don't believe me, then next time you see a ferrari cruising looking for a carpark, just go up to the driver and say "how can you say your car is fast,I have been watching you go really slowly" and see what the reaction is.

And BTW, that wasn't a drop in. . . .I was surfing a righthander calles the blowhole, there was a wide peak out the back which popped up and a guy decided to go left on it. . . . I saw him coming , faded left to give him room, and then gave him the nudge when he started swearing.

I had no problem sharing until he started yelling, but blow ins who behave like that are not welcome at my local sorry.

So why dont you take your boards to a really fast wave and maybe try to prove your boards are fast? :?

For a proper 'proof' we need to run speed competitions with several competitors in the water wearing gps units, and see who achieves the fastest time during a heat. I have been suggesting this for a while now. Without several competitors, who knows whether a board is going faster or slower than normal? It's easy to look at a video clip and say that it's fast or slow, but it doesn't mean much unless there is some competition! I'm up for the challenge anytime, and any wave will do!

:D

I've got another question..
How could you have more fun going straight on one of those boards then doing cutbacks and airs on a shortboard?
I respect you and all cuz i could never build a board much less build anything, but im just wondering.

As for me just going straight, that's a myth. . . .but if you are interested in finding out why I gave up foam shortboards (after riding them for 20 years) in favour of wooden longboards, then you are going to have to find out by doing, there's no substitute for personal experience and I'm not going to waste my time arguing about whether what I do is enjoyable or not!

You just gotta do it, there's no other way!!
