Anyone who is wondering about the Tunl and/or the Power Surfboards Tunnel fins should really check this out. If Brent thinks that this board is "towing a bucket" then he could quite possibly have one on his own head!
I hope you enjoy it!

Got to Resolute Salmon tunnel finned longboard speedboard video clip. Tunnel fins rule! wooden surfboards rule! (a poem by Roy Stewart)

Cheers, Roy

Cheers Jonny, She's got plenty of glide alright, and loads of lift . . can be a handful but she's fast!

BTW that's $17 500 (We can't have everyone out there on them after all!)

Roy,
The carefully crafted & beautifully made fin you illustrate and use on your boards is totally different to the Australian commercial product "Tunl" fin I experimented with last year. To see exactly the product I used go to www.tunlsurf.com.

The product in question was amazingly badly made out of injection moulded plastic, it had rough edges, mismatched joints...you name it. It wasn't even facing straight ahead when fitted to my board. It had the same quality level as a roughly made kids toy.
When fitted to my board there was noticable drag, even when paddling.

You misquote me also about the "why not just tie a bucket to the back of your board and drag that around...it'd be cheaper". That funny comment was made by someone else who's made over 4000 surfboards...I just passed it on to the readers.

I am happy to post you my sample for you to make your own judgements, you'll find it laughable.
Email me your postal address and I'll slip it in a courier bag for you within a day or two.
Also, please don't misquote me or poke cheap shots at my expense.
Thankyou, Brent.

Hey Brent, if my uranium shares keep going up at the present rate I might be scoring that beachfront Omanu house I have my eye on.

In any case we will be surfing the Mount again soon, look out for my new line of "Valley Surfer" T shirts!

The Wairarapa has been pumping!

well I don't know about you, but I'm scared my board isn't up enough to scratch... maybe me and my board are just too insignificant and to really be anything I have to buy a tunnel fined power surfboard...all this superority is bad for my self esteem.

Actually 27mph isn't that fast most competent surfers have probably gone faster than 27, I am just interested in speed, that's all.

I agree that 27mph isn't fast for the fastest speed you reach, but for an average crusing speed 27 is steep.

I bet kelly was pushing 40 in his bottom turns at supertubes...
