What is the bird on the Hawaiian Pro Designs Logo ?

I've searched all over to find out what the bird is that Donald Takayama used on his surfboard logo but all I see is Takayama logo bird. Does anyone know what it is ?

I'm guessing but it looks very much like a Frigate Bird which is seen all over the Pacific islands and tropic coasts.

Yeah frigate bird or we would call it "Iwa" or possibly the tropic bird or some cross between the two

Cool, thanks guys ! Is Iwa pronounced like "eewa" as it is spelled or like "eeva"?

eeva is the way it usually sounds. The shape resembles a frigate bird but the color pattern more closely to a tropicbird
