Surfing Waves

How early do you surf in the morning in CA, I just started a new job and if I surf it can only be in the morning from 6-7am is that too ealy?

It's never too early. Most of my friends surf on the first light around 5am.Then get to work before 9.

In Santa Barbara, CA, we regularly go when there is almost enough light to see. We surf a while and then go to work. A plus is we are in the surf before anyone else. This is not a CA thing. The early surfer the world over gets the wave before work.

I am amazed this question was even asked! Be it light at either end of the day , you can surf!
Unless some city hall has ordinances against it, but their enforcers will still be in bed in the morning

It really depends on the spot, tide, wind, etc. I live in So Cal and I always surf in the AM, I try to get out as early as possible, I'm usually in the water by 6:30am if I am surfing
