Fin advice for a 9'4 CJ nelson Arrow?

Hi guys,

I don't know if a presentation was in order in a specific section as i did not find any specific info on that.

I've bee surfing for 10 years shortboards and fun board and did my debuts on a 6'6 shortboard. (yeah not a great idea)
But given the skills i had from skateboard, snowboard and windsurf, i managed even if for sure that wasn't the best school.

Anyway now i want to expand my experience and got a 9'4 high performance cj nelson pearson arrow model. In aviso tech. It's light.

I would like you input on what type a fins would work well on that board. I will certainly push it like : big bottom > straight up the face kinda way.
And clearly will work to end up noseriding also.

I have a lot of fins around but no center fins.

I'm not using for now a rear quad set of FCS H-3 http://www.surffcs.com/shop/surf-quads/h-3-rear, could those be used as front fins maybe? Definitly worth a try anyway.

So my questions is, what center fins would you use for performance oriented riding on that shape and tech (super light)?

Never mind the width , feel the length! Super light and ready to rock, I'd certainly try the fins you are thinking of as the side bites you could probably get away with an 8" centre fin have a look at the FCS cut aways or give yourself the finger http://www.surffcs.com.au/shop/surf-lon ... fcs-finger.
I would also have good look at this site for your centre fin and have a yarn to them they represent serious knowledge in all things fins in the US http://trueames.com/shop/surf-fins they make the fins to suit the system you wish to use.
A final thought for you have a look if you can at what the surfers you aspire to emulate use it may be a useful insight. Have fun, "may the length be with you".
have aread of Uncle Jaffa's fin primer for further thoughts.

The Kai Sallas fin with the rocker could be likely to allow the tail to drift if you are forward for nose rides but with similar sized side bites will give thruster style performance if you are based on the tail.
The futures and the other fin are more single fin or smaller side bite performance style!
See if you can get some try a fin options.
If you are linked with other longboarders try swapping or borrowing fins. Really experimentation to find the fit for your evolving style is a chance for fun!

ok thank you for helping me out :)

for the futures fin , they say in the description it can be used as a 2+1 in the 6,7 or 8 sizes.
Don't you think a 7 would do it?

what do you mean by smaller side bite? what's the size i should be looking for?

sorry for all these questions but I don't have a clue when it comes to longboard. & fins obviously.
