Fins on Bic 8ft 4"

Postby Dantastic1985 » Wed Mar 20, 2013 1:15 pm

Hi All,

I have just bought a nearly new used Bic 8ft 4" whacking great board.

I am yet to go out on it yet but it has a funny fin set up. Is this type of set up normal? I haven't seen anything like this before, normally people have a large single or a large single and a couple of mini fins on the sides where as this has med fins on the sides and a large single at the back.

I have a good set of FCS M5 fins on my mal. Would they be better on this board?

See link below...

Any thoughts appreciated.

Dan

Try your fins and see, test various positions for the centre fin in the box, forward means looser for turns back means tighter to turn, try the centre fin as a single, try your other FCS set and see,
read Uncle jaffa's fin primer, see if that gives you some thing to try
