Hi Roy, thanks for the video. The Makaha performs really smoothly.
Let me know if you'd like this posted on your previous profile of Roy Stewart

Hey Roy good to see you in action again. I really do like the way the board you show here can be trimmed and turned by just a few re-positions. I have (as you know) always admired your work and still say one day's (if I can) I'll buy one off you. I do, as you may or may not recall, have to sell a load of http://www.pocketboard.co.uk ultra-short surfboards first!.

Cheers and keep well my friend;

From good 'ol esonscar.

Thanks patrol, email changed again so I couldn't log in, I've been using Stuart and Stewart spellings of my name for reasons of historical whim, so I'm not sure what to do now re which account to use.

The board is a rocket, and smooth as you say. The acceleration is startling, in a good way.

Here's the same break a few days later in a different mood, this time on the Dragon 13'9" singlefin, which is twice the weight of the 12'9" Makaha at 48 pounds.

Hi Esconsar, it's great to be back, the surfing waves community is such a good bunch. :D

If you were to grab a board, which one would you choose?

Hey Roy . . . In all honesty the display on the board you ride in the above vid is closest to date of my vision of a 'super board' . . . please forgive me if that terminology is not appropriate to your nomenclature but hey . . . I guess you appreciate the size of my pocketboard ! . . . Maybe we should collaborate and market them both as a joint package to our adoring public!

Actually a collaboration is not as daft as it sounds - how might 'we' progress . . . !!!

I admire the work both of you are doing and the craftsmanship of both, a name for a combined Roy and Esonscar, The All a Board..

Relentless was definitely the right word for that session Roy, New Zealand, The Land of the Long Wood Board, have a great year Roy.

Here's the point in a different mood on Monday last... this time on the Dragon 13-9 as I wrecked a fin on the Makaha during the previous session.

Thanks to Heavy Hitters for the track

Here's a brief overview of the break during the session, that's my dog on the rocks. This will be part of a ten minute documentary which will be out in a month or so, which will include me yapping on camera

You did. They are really a work of great craftsmanship and art.
Roy steers his own course with them and genuinely eschews all the trappings of the conventional ideology of surfing. That too is something to be valued.

Yeah they are beautiful and if I had a bottomless pit for a wallet I'd probably buy all of them haha

Hey don't forget I make totally functional yet embellished 'wall hangers' of my Pocket board ® for a mere £??k to £150k plus . . . SO for the ultimate minimalist hand-crafted and most unique DOUBLET QUIVER, commission my good self and commission Roy . . . There'd be nothing else like it on earth (and they'd both surf as good as the best!)
