Surfing Waves

hi all i want to hear some of your opinions

i have currently got 3 boards a performance nose rider 9'1 a nose rider 9'4 and a 7'0 custard point fish the fish is nearly new as traded it recently for a old mini mal and have only surfed it once although it was fun. The question i have is i have the offer to now trade the fish for a performance longboard im not sure weather to go for another longboard or keep a shorter board. I am definatly mainly a longboarder and realy pushing to start nose riding and putting a few manovers into each wave what would all of you do swap for a longboard or keep the fish?????????

Also wil riding a fish help with my longboarding or not???? would i be better off always on a longboard????

I 'd suggest being a smorgasboarder, keep the fish.
Why IMO riding and working with a number of boards pushes your perceptions and abilities to different areas in different waves and ways.I find I get sharper after a different board day, early in a different board session I look pretty spastic but then I recover the qualities of the board and I improve ( at least I think I do).
You can even do an interesting experiment, surf each board on the same day, that really shows you what the idea behind each is.
Get silly, have fun,see what happens

Get shot of the 9'4" nose rider and replace it with a custom shortboard. Most avenues are covered then with three completely different style boards for (almost) maximum fun in the surf.

The two remaining ‘boards to get would be a gun (long and thin longboard) and a pocketboard® surfboard !
