Lots of advice will come your way!
Get a well floated board that is slightly longer, a sort of mini mal, maybe a soft one or not. But ensure they feel safe and comfortable....... Depending on your young ones age ensure they can swim and you are present and you can make it pleasant and exciting.
Small sessions one on one, please remember too that not all children want to surf! Encourage them whatever sport!
rest assured get it right and you will have a great companion to surf with.
I have had the pleasure of surfing with sons and grandsons :D
I've taken up troll hunting just for fun, instead of a rifle I'll just use a pun! 冲浪爷爷
