Surfing Waves

im looking to join a longboard surf club, nambly the hotdoggers in devon. im from wales so its a bit of a drive but was hoping to meet new surfers and friends as well as possibly gain some tips from others within the club. i was just wondering everones view on surf clubs and is anyone a member of one or even a member of the hotdoggers
