Blue Longboards

Greetings to all,
I'm looking for my first board to surf out of South Beach in Miami Beach. I am actively searching for a 8'-9' used longboard that can catch the smaller waves we mostly have here in South Florida before I move to buy a new board. Whenever the time comes to buy a new board I will go for a Longboard or a Funboard that fits the waves of South Beach.
I wanted to ask your opinion on the Blue longboards. I seem them in just about every surf shop here in Miami. They look very nice but I was wondering how they would compare to a Ron Jon pop-up version or any other longboard that you might want to compare it with. Blue's price seems to be slightly higher ($25-$50) that a Ron Jon's but lower than a Walden, another board I see just about everywhere in South Florida ($150-$200)
I'm aiming to buy as good quality I can that won't cost me an arm and a leg!
Thanks,
pantxo
