Advice or suggestions welcomed

Hi. I`m recovering from a long illness and have decided to sell my 7`6" Beachbeat Fatbot Flyer as I no longer have the fitness levels to get consistent rides on it. I`m looking at getting something a bit bigger, 8`2",8`4", but having popped over to Newquay the other day, I`m wondering if I`d be better off going the whole hog and getting a longboard. Saw a 9` Quiver, which looked really nice, and having read that 6 of the current top 10 supposedly use one, they must be great boards. The only trouble is, you have to buy it before you can try it! Just because they`re great boards doesn`t mean they`re a great board for you. I made that mistake once years ago and got a Tunnel Vision board that I jusy couldn`t get up on, so I`m wary of that. Anyone had any experience with this particular board?
Past 8`, flotation isn`t a problem, I`m wanting to retain as much performance as possible.I`m split between the Quiver and I`ve seen that Beachbeat do a Challenger, a shortened Longboard, and this appeals too. Anyone tried these. Any info appreciated. Thanks, Bri
