new board issue(which one)

hia all
looking for a new board and in need of some advice if i could, ive been using a rooger cooper 9'4 for just under 2 years now progressed really well with it but lately ive put on weight as u do at this time of year and finding it harder to paddle and trim and catch waves so im 18 an half stone 6 ft ex bodybuilder 50+ chest so in need of beast of a board im toying with 10'3 cooper custom pu mal 3.5" thick, or another custom of similar dimensions from beachbeat surf or would a surftech robert august 10'6 noserider be better for me, if anyone has any advice much appreciated

Loose weight and go for a shorter board.
If you used to body build you know all about calories and stuff !

What part of the world are you from? - Different bits of the planet required different surfboards !

im from cardiff not to far from you mate i surf from southerdown to aberavon depending on conditions, as far as loosing weight and yes i know all about dieting as it is 70% of the battle to gain muscle which i have and only 20% in training an of course the other 10% is sleeping where you build your hard gained muscle, i have tried my mates 7'10 minimal down aber when it was double overhead on its rare day in october got up fine only because of the fact the wave was so powerful and lately surf has beed preety grim to say the least, but looks like from wednesday we might be in for a well deserved treat as swell is picking up.
