New Board - any good?

Hey all

I've just taken delivery of my new board, but I think it may have a bit too much volume, I'm OK at duckdiving my 7'6 mini-mail, but I think this may be a bit more difficult.

Should I have gone for something a little less 'floaty'?

Any advice gratefully received

looks like you could have a party on the board and surf at the same time!
