Surfing Waves

i paddled into the wave with the board backwards and when i popped up i jumped and tried it
i almost did it!!!!!
IM SO HAPPY!!!
if i can get it ill be so stoked!!!!!

Did you try popping up switch?? That's supposed to be how it's done, so you end up riding your normal stance once the board spins.....

I've tried and failed on a few occasions, although it is fun trying.

Next you need to try to helicopter - noe THAT is impressive!!

not quite the same thing ... but was paddling back out a couple of weeks ago on a longboard when i got caught on the inside.... was hit by a wave hard... but instead of thrashing me which normally happens, it sort of swung the board round... when i realised what was happening i figured i might aswell stand up. wasn't really on the face but very near it...
this qualify as a fakie take-off??

any normal time i woudl just spin around the board and end up riding switch but usually id fall
