Hi, just been looking at some long boards, I have a custom 7'6 flying carpet but I was looking at an NSP longboard. I prefer custom boards but with it being my first longboard thought I'd go for something stonger?
I'm not sure what the area to the nose is called 'underneath'?

The coloured area on the bottom, am I right in thinking that makes it more stable if you 'noseride' it?
I also assume the bigger nose the easier to get to the front?

That is the other one I was looking at, although the 8'2 seems to have a bigger nose than the 8'6?

Cheers

The concave under the nose gives lift, actualy makes the board less stable i think.

If your going for a longboard to noseride get a 9'2" - 9'10" with a chunky nose.

And not NSP.

RJD has it right I think. I don't know a whole lot about NSP except from what I have read here. A good starter board and that is about it. Go out and get a good quality second hand board if you don't want to go new on your first longboard.

I just read the second link and this is what caught my eye. Take note to the second part of the sentence.

"A balanced, contemporary long board for mid to lightweights that’s terrific for cruising or those just learning to surf."

i bought the chris jones 9'1" last week, although i was tempted with this one ,the only reason was i have a solid 10ft 2" and was lookin for something a bit looser,if ya now what i mean

also jus is a great bloke, good advice n all that.

i would go for a custom instead of the nsp, deffo.

cheers

Just selling my 6'1 fish I got from new a few weeks back, when I get some interest (being sold at Bay surf shop Scarborough), I'll invest the money into a longboard...found the 6'1 like paddling on a lolly stick, guess I'm used to a more cruisey ride! 8)
