one more thing

Oh yeah. You are going to need a board somewhere around 9'2" - 9'whatever. Nice big square tail and a big fin with a big base. Heavier the better and nice n flat. Well thats what I prefer. Legrope optional but if you do want to wear one use the knee strap so you dont get your feet all tied up. Cheers.

Agree with the flater rocker, but tail lift will aid you too. If you are purely interested in nose riding, nose concave also aids in retarding speed and stabilising the board. 50/50 or softer rails also increases the suctions forces, don't go for turned down rails if possible or you will find that you need to nose ride further out on the shoulder... big single fin possition back in the fin box to increase drag/friction forces that help pull the tail down allowing for more time to get and stay on the nose... I will let someone with a bit more knowledge have a crack at explaining all this  .

If you are just starting out (or just after a change) kick back and get a feel for trimming around the 3/4 mark... its a beutiful feeling to be trimmed out racing along the face, a little under rated but great fun all the same.

As for knee-nose ridder leashes... I don't use anything else if useing a leash... they really help to get the leash out from under your feet... Most of all have fun :!:
