Cobalt Surfboards

Postby jethrodog » Fri Oct 27, 2006 12:50 am

Hey.
I'm flying to Santa Cruz on Nov. 9th to surf for the weekend with my friend who lives there. I am looking at buying a board while I am there (unfortunately no surfshops here in the Rocky Mountains) and I have been looking at Cobalt Surfboards. Any one have any experience riding them? Liked them, hated them, didn't have an opinion? Really interested in them but I have only talked to one person who has ridden one.
Thanks.

I surfed a cobalt all-rounder 7.6 egg a year ago, it was a mate in ireland's who got it shipped over from America. Great board and really good fun. Their whole line looks pretty good. I like the look of the longboards in the all-rounder range.

I have to keep it under 9'0" for the plane rides. Looking at the 8'6" with a squash tail. Luckily I can try before I buy so I can see how they all ride. Also looking at the 7'4" quad fish. Not sure how I will like a 3 1/2" desktop to ride though....
Never ridden an epoxy composite board before. Heard both good and bad but mostly good. Can hardly wait. 2 weeks and I'll be free!!! At least for 5 days :D
