So, this is kind of a travel question, but I want a long board-centric response:

Best long board waves in the world? Pretend money is no object... where do you go?

(1st point Malibu is my home break, so no need to mention.)

2. Severn River tidal bore in United Kingdom
3. The Benak tidal bore in Sri Aman, Sarawak, Malaysia
4. San Onofre State Beach, California (every Winter day for 3 or 4 months)

Crescent Head NSW Australia Australia's answer to the Bu an Zoo.
My home break Merimbula for a left.
The silver Dragon a tidal bore in mainland China.
THe Hougli in India another tidal bore, like China strong antibiotic measures needed.
The Seven Ghosts inSumatra yet another bore
The Pocoroca in the Amazon another bore, wear tight undershorts there is very nasty thing called the dick fish there.

The Mascaret in the Gironde river , no hazard except excessive consumption of French wine. It's a bore too.

There are tidal bores in the NW of Australia,uncrowned except for sharks an saltwater crocodiles.
Raglan New Zealand.
Sadly any longboard wave can be ridden by short boards when the waves are at the best, except the bore, and the silver dragon can top 10ft so short boards there too.

Now the best longboard wave in the world, that is the big question, I know mine, trek to get too so ssssssssh!

Queen's surf break, Waikiki Beach, Oahu Hawaii is terribly over crowded with tourist and rental boards. Don't go there.
( Hehe, I'll be going there this month ! )

Wow. What response, guys! Ive got some googling to do.

Surprised to see San Onofre winter on there. I head down to San O a lot. Great spot for a fire and friends, but never loved the wave. Seemed to spend more time in whitewater than on a shoulder, but maybe I havent hit it right.

Waikiki also surprised me. Isnt it almost unsurfable due to crowd?
