Pulled out the longboard today; had this set up. Sold the white tolhurst and got this board about half a year ago now I think and replaced it with this Jimmy Lewis 9'2". Tried it as a 2+1 with different sizes and combinations, as a single fin with a few different fins I have (like the 9" 4a in it) and then got a 6.5" cutaway (pictured) and grabbed some quad trailers I had and stuck them in as side bites. Third time out with this set up and am really pleased; more grip on the wave than the single, can take different lines, and the board still seems as responsive as before; doesn't track like some of the other 2+1 setups that I had tried before. Good times!

The side bites are futures single tab style...they are the thinner base so they fit too deep in the side bite slots.....was going to shim them but then surfed it and liked it, so haven't bothered.....changed the screws out with x-long ones to make sure that they are secure.....just a little more upright than they were designed.

I came across 7" and 8" Greenough 4a at a local surf swap so I bought them. I've tried the 8" on my 8' minimal right after that and my board became so lively! It used to ride fine with a plastic dolphins shaped fin but now it's so springy while being stable, just PURE FUN. Now I need a bigger one for my 9' longboard.
