Opinion on Longboards

Postby CaliWaterman » Thu Jul 09, 2015 4:31 pm

Hello to everyone,
I'm asking for help on which board to buy.
I'm looking at 2 Longboards right now. One is from a
company called "Soul Arch" and is in decent shape. Only some
minor dings. The second is a company called "Ride" and the guy said
he bought it in Hawaii. Has anyone heard of either company?
Which board is better? Any thoughts?
I'm about 5'9 and weigh about 220 pounds. Surfed and bodyboarded
my whole life. Just looking for a fun board for when the surf is small
to medium.
Thanks

It probably would help if you posted the dimensions of the boards you are interested in. The brand name should be the least of your worries. You need to have one that is the right size and shape for you first.
So what is worse.... dying or regretting it for the rest of my life? Obviously I chose not regretting it.

The "Ride" boards are made in China. There's a distributor in Hawaii that brings them in. Okay boards, bit better than the "Gotcha" boards at Sam's Club, when it comes to the glassing. Depends on the price the seller wants, cause we sold them to people who couldn't afford a board made locally or didn't want a "pop out" ( which would actually be better and last longer )

Which is a better bodyboard, Morey boogie or BZ ?
