Walden Magic Model 8' epoxy Review

Postby Nysurfergrom » Wed Jun 30, 2010 5:01 pm

well i went to the surfing demo yesterday at lido west Ny and first rode short boards but then tried a walden magic model epoxy. one thing i have to say it is the stiffest board i've ever ridden. it was real floaty and stiff not ideal for a lightweight guy like me I'm 13 and 5'3 and 106 pounds. so overall it was a good board for begginers but not for intermidiate/lightweight guys like.

P.S. (also good for heavy guys :D 0

thanks, Nysurfergrom!
Your experience is similar to that of quite a few others that have tried epoxy boards. Hopefully, people will find your post when they search the forum for information about what an epoxy board may be like. In addition to being less flexible than other glassed boards, they are harder. This is an advantage for many beginners because they run aground, into rocks, each other, etc., and epoxy boards stand up to it pretty well.
