depends entirely on your experience

Well, I've been surfing for just under a year, averagely twice a week on a 7'6 Minimal.

I can trimm along the wave face, both backhand and forehand on 3-5 ft.

Can also do turns but feel limited with the size and weight of the board as I would like to be able to manouiver the board much more.

I am really only interested in shortboard style of surfing and wondered whether the above board would suit my height/weight?

you could possibly do with a slightly larger board, it would help a lot compared to a little board like that as a first shortboard, something a little longer for paddling speed and thicker and wider for bouyancy (this is just based on average people coming down from mals, doesn't work for everyone!)

If you have to ask, then the answer is 'no'.
