Quad Fin Fish

Anyone have any experiences to share with this kind of set-up?

Does a quad make a lot of difference in handling compared to say, a twinny?

I just fancy experimenting a bit. My normal board is a 3-fin stubby so i'm kinda wondering what i'm letting myself in for as I got my eyes on a Lost Quad-Fin Shark with similar dimensions to the stubby.

Any advice mucho appreciated!

Hmmm you've shown a video of a quad shortboard not a quad fish! So which is it that your interested in a quad fin fish or a quad fin shortboard and twin fin set-ups are usually reserved for retro fish shapes.

looks like it performs like a shorboard but stupidly loose in the tail?

I was just saying this in another post...

The quad should hold more in turns than the twin and make backside riding more forgiving.

And, s_s, you got it. One difference is that you should be able to just jam it right up the face of a wave instead of having to draw out a bottom turn.

I just read a cool article/interview on Rasta in the Surfer's Path. One of the subjects was his love of the fish design.
