If your asking about a board your clearly not an intermediate surfer!
What height/weight are you?
What is your actual ability?

The price is not that great for a costco used board. I don't think those boards go for much more then about $250 when Costco stocks them.

Is costco not some kind of supermarket over there? With the exchange rate that makes £130 for a new board.

Costco is a wharehouse store that sells a variety of product including groceries. Many of thier products are good. The Realm board is a china board. Nothing special and not one that you would go out of your way to get.

thanks

No boy i stated that your clearly not an intermediate surfer not to have a dig but to help. When choosing your 1st surfboard its important to be honest hence after that statement i asked for your height/weight so that i could give some sound advice based on real facts, which is what i think you were asking for.

We have all seen many people try to jump a few steps and a few succeed but most fail. We are not picking on you because you are new. We are trying to help you become successful. Relax. Don't take things so seriously. There are a lot of people here that can help you but if you burn bridges then they are not going to be there when you need them.

Good luck and I hope you learn to love the sport and way of life the same way many of us have.

alright then everyone is cool. sooooo im 5'10" and weigh 200 pounds. been losing weight though. probably gonna end up around 180. board specs. how long like 6'10"? and thickness? ive been reading a lot but im still unsure about what each thing means. like width im sure gives you more space to stand on and length i guess more paddling stabiliy and balance. and thickness for bouancy. but its really foggy.

6'10" is fine the thicker it is the more float you have. This means it is easier to paddel and catch waves but does loose some manuverability. I would strongly suggest that you try a short board out before you make this purchase to make sure it is something that you can surf.

I would still personally suggest a fish or a fun board for the level that you have described yourself at.

Have fun and enjoy your salt water therapy.
