help with shortboard choice

Postby blueyes13 » Fri Nov 24, 2006 6:52 pm

sup guys,

ive been surfing for about a year constantly, my first board was a 9'1" longboard. so i've learned on that. i consider myself about a 3.5 or 4 on a scale from 1 to 10 for skill level.

ok so im wondering, and asking, for suggestions on what kind of shortboard i should get. i'm pretty sure i want an al merrick, but any suggestions will be welcome.

i was looking at the al merrick FLYER II. It looks like a good versatile shortboard.

I wiegh 157 LBS and am about 5' 11", so a suggestion on board hight is also needed.

so what do you think? Help would be greatly appreciated.

be cool cause green is the colour this year..... apart from the fact that time heals all anomalies and Fosters after a full afternoon on the water creates disturbances. Three goblins and a bat can find a way to the underground cave of wonders if you speak to the white witch who is situated in the secret hideout of Jasper in the land of Greep. Hope you enjoy the milkshake!

Pshh...thanks for all the help! if you guys hate the overly asked question so much, then maybey you should get the admins to make a help section. LLaterrrr... I'm taking this to the surfermag forums, their way cooler about helping people out. You guys are no help/lame.
