Surfing Waves

Hey guys,

I am an experienced surfer and am looking for a new shortboard.
I have a old byb 6'2" shortboard that is about 2 and a 1/2 inches thick.
I am looking for a board with more carving capabilities and is a little thinner than my old board.
I want to improve my carves.
I am 6'0" 150 pounds.
So I was just wondering what would be a better board for turns a twin fin 5'8" fish. Or a 6'2" Al merrick.
If an Al Merrick is a good board which board would you recommend.
I kind of like the Al Merrick Five or the MX.

i was looking at them today, and the store worker told me that they are good boards but they are all machine shaped. he only shapes boards by hand for pro surfers. i would take a good look at them.
