Im wondering what size board i should get because my 7'2" is to big and slow for me. It is around 21-22 inches wide and is 1 1/4 inches thick. Im looking for a shortboard that will allow me to gain speed and more maneuverability along with performance. Any suggestions? oh and im going to be around 200 lbs in about 4 months.

Bulking up will really affect yor surfing. It will limit your choices on board size because bigger guys can't ride certain shortboards.

you should prob keep the weight you are at now..then you can pretty much get any board you want...otherwise if your to heavy and you get a thinner board you'll sink and that would be sad

and like he said ^^^^the guy up there..it really does limit the boards you can get buuuuuuuuttttttt you can always get a custom job

At 6-4, you're looking at a board between 6-4 and 6-10 as the shortest you can go.
You might be able to drop to 2 1/4" thick if you keep the width, but maybe a 20" (*maybe* 19) width with a 2 1/2" thickness

Oh, and remember as you drop in height, you're going to be less flexible in the thickness and widths you can play with if you want to still float. Same goes the other way.
