Next board after a circle one 6'4 ?

Postby hyber » Mon Sep 04, 2006 9:56 am

hi, my board is similiar to this one http://www.circle-one.co.uk/surfboards/ ... -64fb.html
with the same dimensions only mine is more of a shortboard with abit more pointed in the nose.

My board doesnt have much rocker at all and i think in steeper waves that would be helpful, ( i have difficulty with late takeoffs :( )
Also, it might just be practice but im not sure as ive never been on another board but it doesnt seem too fast and even with my pumping, which isnt very good mind you!

im 6'2 and weigh about 11stone and my riding level is - i can bottom turn, stand up on all waves, duckdive and do some not too stylish cutbacks.
I would like the board to be one i could use in the majority of conditions ( not just the south coast mush ) as i travel alot.

P.s was thinking of an s-core?

Look at something like this. The rounded pin should help you on your backhand as well. At places like Kimmerige. the key thing her is you current board is about 20 to 21 wide this board is 18.65. It has a bit more rocker in the tail with not too much rocker in the nose which should help you paddle and get into the wave a bit earlier so you can avoid those late take offs but enough to cope with the drop.

the dims of this board are 6ft5 X 18.65 X 2.3
