New to the board. Hello everyone. Have an Eberly 6'8" that is older but in decent shape. It has what looks like a hand written number of 1963 on it (see pic). Is this a date or production number, Etc? Attachecd is a pic of the board. Can anyone tell me more about this board? Thanks for any info you may provide.

Hey there, it's definatley a board number not date. In 1963 board design was somewhat different to the board you have there. There were no shortboards or thrusters or removeable fins and fibreglass was still in it's early days.
Nice looking board though i like it tom eberly is a well renowed shaper from californa i believe.

I have a board from 1978 and that doesn't look like it is older than mine, in fact it looks a bit newer. I think the year is usually by the shapers sig. if there is one on the board.

thats a 1980,s eberly hot stuff model and is nice baord all my baords are eberly shapes and his boards RULE
