alrite ppl! i woz jst thinkg which wax do you all find works for you! coz i think some waxes are really crap and dnt give you much grip! coz i have jst tried sum sex wax and it didt giv me anygrip at all which wreckd my ses :( ! coz i normaly use Mrs Palmers wax which works brill for me! it wil jst be keewl to see which wax works for you! keep surfing ppl :D

I've only ever used Sticky Bumps (cool and warm), and it works great for me. I've never felt the need to try anything else.

I usually use sex wax and love it, using sticky bumps at the moment (or at least i would be if there was any swell so in all fairness ive only tested the sticky bumps paddling not actually surfing!) it seemed fine but doesnt smell as nice as sex wax!

ha ha nah i got to admit sex wax does smell well nice

this month i have mostly been using cool water sex wax with a basecoat, i like palmers but find it a bit soft so it grips well but comes off to easy.
I miss bubblegum wax, that stuff smelt so they had to put a warning on the label not to eat it. Anyone know if you can still get it anywhere?

Try Nucleus in Swanea town centre. Think I may have seen it there, otherwise im sure you could get it online

i use sex wax. mainly for comedy value really as none of my mates in leeds surf. the looks on their faces when they find the draw of wax!

using sex wax atm. smells awful

I think Sticky Bumps smells real good, but I still havn't tasted it yet.

I'm using sexwax quick humps orange label right now. My friends are beginning to think im a freak because I make them smell it every time they come over. My gf loves the smell of mrs palmers. gotta go, need to catch another wiff of the sweet delicious quick humps.

Sex wax all the way mabe it dint work because you did not choose the right wax for the water?

I use mrs palmers as I too found sex wax a bit crappy. Love the smell and I have heard you can now buy one that you eat???

Yeah they've definitely got it in Nucleus, saw it in the Mumbles store...quite a few of them too.

my dad made the first surf wax in the uk, fat wax, back in the 70's and later made wax 4 kangaroo poo. i remember this wax being quite hard like tropical wax but it still worked. ms palmers is very easy to rub on the board but thats where the perks stop. there is no need for a wax 2 b that soft. i know a very reputable wetsuit manufacturer who wont use ms palmers because its so soft and sticky it sticks to a wetsuit and destroys it due to the petroleum content delamming the layers of neoprene. i use sex wax, it works perfectly at home and abroad, and does'nt destroy my wettie. i wonder if u r applying the wax properly, using a wax comb is a good idea.

TBH most wax brands are fine as long as you use the correct temp range... except Magma wax, which is 5hit. I drove for half an hour to a surf shop to get some wax and all they had was Magma - I said forget it!
