Surfing Waves

Anyone tried them or heard anything about them?
£250 inc leash and tail pad. Very tempted. Could be fun, unless they suck... supposed to be good for airs and 360s and stuff, very light, durable, yadda yadda...

Yeah, I think they could be a lot of fun if you've got the right style for them.

You'll get a lot of attention on them I reckon - so you'd better be able to surf them with an audience

iv surfed them alot at salamon days, and their realy hard to get to grips with, but when you do they are so much more fun than a short board, and alot more manuverable, but they are a bit small.

One of the guys at the local surf shop has one and says I can try it out when I see him out surfing it. Trouble is he always seems to be on his fish when I see him !

yea i saw a guy riding one a couple weeks ago. noseless surfboard, i guess it was saloman, i dont no any other maker putting those out. it was a waist high day, really rippable, and this guy was just tearing it up. it was like he was wake boarding, pullin airs and snaps. looks really fun. but i doubt it would work or be functional in anything chest high and above

Cool, I spose the only thing holding me back is the fact I already have my 6'0" which I got specifically to get the most out of the smaller days. I really need to replace my 6'2" instead as its knackered, but the noseless boards are only £250... .

Do you guys think they are good boards for LEARNING tricks on, or should you already be good at them to be able to attempt them on these boards?

Yeah I'm assuming they will be good for learning the tricks on. I think the lightness and the lack of nose will help chucking the thing about a bit. I reckon if a surfer can ride the board normally, which may be a bit trickier due to shortness, then it should be cool to do 'tricks' on it.

I've been thinking about a ridiculously short round board for a little while, so maybe I should consider one of these....

But at 5'3, it'll be about 10" shorter than me!

And I weigh quite lot more than the suggested 70kg....

anyone actually surfed one yet? I really wanna buy one, but I don't want to make the mistake of buying one and then not being able to use it.... I wonder if I could demo it somewhere... that might help!

I went into the shop had a look at one on saturday. Its really light and feels like a normal s-core board rather than an NSP. I saw some video of them in action and it seems you can just do massive punts pretty much whenever you want . I think they would be only good in small waves, but I guess the proof is in the pudding and until you ride one it will remain a mystery. I'll let you know after I have a go on the shop guys board, no waves for a few days tho.

Im seriously thinking about it, so let me know how you get on. If I can find somewhere that'll let me have one for an hour, I'll report back pronto

If there's a wave (how likely is that the first weekend in June on the south coast?) then I might get a go on the noseless boards...
