hey, i'm 5'11 and i'm thinking of getting a 6'0 board do you think it might be too short?

Hmm well if you are a beginner i would say that it is defintely too short. I'm sure you will find in frustrating learning on something that short. But if you must buy a shortboard go for a fish or egg shape, wider than other shortboards and fatter for increased volume to float. But if you are experienced then i know many guys whose board is about the same height as them and are fine with it, whereas others wish they had something with a little more length. Maybe try hiring a short board for the weekend and see how you go with it.

im 6'3 and i ride a 6'4 fish like 70% of the time(east coast what can you do) and i think its perfect but ive been doin this for a while. if you wanna pull that deff get a thick wide board like surfinforlife said.
