Looking for a board

Postby TXJ » Mon Dec 19, 2005 11:46 pm

Hey guys
I've been surfing for a year, and I'm looking to get a new board. Now I've read that a Hybrid fish is great for small mushy waves, like we have in Texas. But I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for. I went to SoundWaves (surfshop) in Houston but the guy really didn't help. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction of a board that can perform in small mushy waves.
TIA
Matt

Tell you what, why dont you get a 6'4 hybrid fish?

I've got a 6'6 hybrid fish (I'm a tall fella) and its great for mushy conditions :D

Works best in small but clean though. Its not so great in 2ft of whitewater - its too loose for that :?

So depends on the conditions you surf - if its really mushy, then I'd usually surf a funboard. But if its clean-ish but gutless, then the fish rules! :D
