Board advice

Hoping you could help me guys, I want to buy a 2nd hand short board, I've only been surfing once but really want to get into it. I want a board that I can grow into, I am 5 11 and weigh 12 stone, any advice would be great, cheers.

im not exactly sure what 12 stone is, but i might be selling my shortboard 6'3"x2-3/4x 18 1/2, WRV, FCS fins, which might work good for you. where will you be surfing? depending on where you will be a shortboard might not be the best idea. i started on this shortboard, and it's much harder in mushy waves. if i do put my board on the market i'll send you a message

If you've only surfed once, then you dont need a shortboard. Start with a longboard and work your way down.

How often do you hit the waves? Also it kinda depends on how good you are, but longboards may be a better idea right now

or a fun board if u have a small car or something lol
