Size of new board?

Postby nerakneds » Sat Jul 02, 2005 7:57 pm

I'm looking to buy a shortboard, right now i'm riding a 6'7'', 20.75'' and about 2.37'' thick, but i think that this board is too big and i would like a board that would turn and duck dive a lot better and easier.

i live in southern Ireland, so waves aren't that big usually not more than headhigh. i'm 132lbs @ 5''6, 2 yrs surfin exp. and i don't know what dimensions i should go for on my new board. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

How often do you go surfing? And also how many times in the past, i mean is 2 years experience constant or irregular? Because maybe you would want a longboard? Not sure otherwise!

Er, that board should be easily duckable :?

And it should turn fine too.

So its either your technique, or you need to talk to your local shaper about rocker, fins, tail and rails.

Im 13 and ride a 6'2. I feel the same way you don't really get the carving you really want. I think you should go for a 6'0. :D
