hi

Just about 2 weeks a go i discovered the beater board from Catch surf. Its sort of a foamie but 5.2 or something.
Now i love the idea of a small board that is fun to ride, easy to handle and can be used with fins, without and as a body board.

i currently use a fish size 5.11 and a small shortboard size 5.6. (i learned surfing on that fish 2 years ago :ninja: )
now what i want to know is, do any of you guys have any expirience with the board ? and is going to work on waves from 3-7 foot ?
Is it posible to do cutbacks, of the lip, arials & co ?

overall i would love to hear from you guys on "funn boards" like beater.

cant wait to hear from you all !
Joe

It's possible to ride in shallow, dumping, closeout surf without getting maimed by your board....they look like fun.

Beater boards by Catch Surf come in 54 inches or 48 inches. Not sure what you mean by 5.2 ?
Question:
Can you ride 3-7 foot waves? If "Yes", than the board can to.
Can you do cutbacks, Off the lips and airs ? If "Yes", than the board can to.
Are you planning to get the no fin or twin fin model ?

So "Yes" you can do airs or "No" you can not do airs ?

54 inches is about 137 cm.

I used a beater all summer long in very small conditions or dumpy waves. It's fairly easy to catch waves with (make sure you are positioned pretty far forward when compared to a surfboard). It doesn't ride well down the line so unless you're a master pumper your rides will be short.
In really weak waves that break in shallow water you can stand up, hold the beater in front of you and jump into the wave like on a bodyboard, which should give you an extra boost of speed. Overall it's a fun toy with its own learning curve.
