Hi, my name is Mike and I'm new to surfing from the US. I would like to get into it and was wondering if this would any good or if it looks too damaged. I found it really cheap and don't want to get ripped off. Thank you in advance and sorry if this is a stupid question I'm really new to this stuff.

If you are totally new to surfing , consider looking through all the advice given to people asking the very same question! Right here under surfboard advice!
To tailor the advice to your needs , your height, your weight, and age + when you are going to learn, will determine what we suggest!
As a beginner , that board is not suitable unless you are about 13ish and a sparrow weight.
So you may not be ripped off but we don't even know the dimensions of the board.
Don't rush buying your first board, take some lessons and try a number of different boards soft and hard. :D

Cheap depends on the person. Was it $50 ? Or was it $150. Either way you got ripped off because the board was broken in half ( or buckled badly ). The black paint is covering the repair. Fins are worth $10, so at least you can save those for your others boards.
