http://www.surfstitch.com/eu/en/product ... 221100RMLTLarge side fins and small centre fin - sort of twin fin but not quite. Anyway, when I bought my last fins the guy at the shop was trying to convince me these were the fins for my 7ft4 board and gave great drive. But I went with something else so have no experience. However, they might be less 'draggy' - although they are pretty big (over 5inch for the side fins), which is about 1/2inch longer than size 7 FCS.
I went with the MF-1 fins, but I am after drive mostly (speed) - I figure that once I have speed I can do the other stuff, but am not good enough to generate speed myself. Also am up around 185lb and on a large board, so need a bit more hold than an M-5. Great fins the MF-1, but again not sure if Futures have a version.
(not a particularly useful post! Recommending FCS fins...)
LOL, which is why I posted, I'm an FCS guy myself. I use the MR combo on my fish only, I like the big sides and small center (quads), it has enough hod and glide to make it fun.
On your comment on drive, I thought drive was the ability to maintain or build speed, but thought the idea of bigger is better to gain speed was for longboards. I maintain and create peed with smaller fins because of less drag, and feel that bigger fins slow me down. I might be thinking wrong, but...
I'm always in search of the perfect set up, with fins that are small enough feel fast but big enough to have hold and not loose the tail on the wall and curl. Fins I have tried that let me down because not enough or too much hold: K3's, Panchos, YU's, Sunny Carbon, GRX, Simon M & L, AM, AM2, GPR. Fins I love and use: PC5, PG5, DHD Core, GX5, GMB's. For Fishes twin fins I use FK2 fiberglass, quads I use either MRX quad or M7 with GX center combo.
So, yea, I have no idea what I'm doing in Futures.
