Yo dude, you need to give us more information. Like your height, weight, a rough experience level. I wouldnt go with a CI board, for the one fact that you said it yourself. If you are willing to spend that much I would go to your local surf shop. Ask the guy working there for his opinion. If I was you, I would personally look into a performance fish board something that can be easy to surf, because you dont have much wave. but at the same time I'm no expert, the guy at your local surf shop is!

thanks your reply
My height is 173cm, the weight was 140-145 lb
I am renting NSP 6 "0 fish now, I can go left to right, I would like to buy a low volumes short Board, I really like CI DFR, but I'm afraid it's hard for me to play, I don't want to just CI,but my place just to buy CI surfboard to compare good, I don't like fish, because the tail is very easily broken

Gabriel , I think by your videos you may be posting from Hong Kong, if you are a beginner of your weight and in the Hong Kong surf you will really struggle to even get a pop up, the CI DFR is designed for a high level capable surfer ie Dane Reynolds.
The higher volume of the NSP fish is at the bottom of your range of size , you can learn on shorter but it will be very difficult.
You have a lot of misinformation I don't think the NSP fish tails are no more breakable than any other board the CI you are thinking about like all low volume boards that are lightweight are even less strong .I think you are thinking too much about the fashion of cool surfboards, it just won't work

As a 冲浪爷爷 I do advise you to choose something about 6'6" up to 7'3" there are several in the 7S range that have round tails if you want to avoid the fish have a look at them and look at other board in other brands

If you have to go Channel Islands and the best you should consider is a 6'4" neck beard, you will need the volume .
It is a little hard to grasp what you want as I think you are using a translator.
Please forget the FDR I think it would be a mistake to buy that but in the end you decide 冲浪爷爷.

I used to live in HK and Jaffa is right. The best waves (other than during monsoon) are still very small and weak. You really should be looking for a mid length mini mal!

What about X-games in Causeway Bay for boards? Or you can try on line shops, plenty deliver overseas (might be expensive, but you can try eg from Japan or Hawaii or England)

The families in Taiwan called me that when I was there and because my wife painted water colours of the landscape she became 绘画奶奶 , they even had chops made for us. The generosity of the people towards my wife and me was brilliant :!:

Gabriel , I don't think you will be surfing big waves yet , all your videos show small waves that's about up to head high and I think if you want channel island then the 6'4" neck beard is your best bet as a short board!

任何, you ask for advice you don't want to listen, please proceed with the purchase of your choice and discover surfing by experiencing your mistake. Sorry.

That's OK Gabriel, at this stage you need a board that will float you make waves easy to catch and give you a good chance at learning. Most of the boards you are wanting to get are for advanced surfers!
Also your waves even as you describe them cannot help a novice on a small board with little volume. I am not even happy about suggesting the biggest ( and it is still small) neck beard it is the board being nearest to giving you a chance at learning, anything else you will be wasting your money due to the difficulties you will have.
The is one other way, go and hire a few different boards from the NSP 6' board see what suits you.
Surfing is about experience, trying to learn it by questions is like trying to learn Qigong from a book, possible but difficult.

if you are renting a 6'0 fish then I would start a little bigger. You can sell it later once you are better, but if you buy a 6'3 shortboard it will be an easier step down from the fish. A 5'10 shortboard, for example, will have a big learning curve, i prefer to catch waves than struggle with them.

At 140lbs you will eventually surf 5'8 boards, but save it for when you get better
