Hairline cracks and water

I have a FireWire addvance and noticed that a section of the bamboo deck is turning darker. After close investigation I found a 3" hairline crack in the rail beside the discoloration. I'm guessing water has got in here and has dampened the bamboo deck. My question is how do I get it out?
Should I put a larger hole in the rail to allow it to drain out?
Cheers
Paul

You can try posting on the Firewire forum, the company is pretty good at having a rep respond.

What do you think of the Addvance? I came close to buying one recently as a longboard alternative (so a 702 probably).

As a beginner its taking me a long way in 2 months! I can catch green waves way out back with the long boarders and ride them forever with relative ease. It does live up to its name 'Addvance" but in some respects it maybe advances you too quickly! After only 4 weeks im wishing it was smaller as I'm finding it hard to maneuver compared to my HB monster fish. Its got heaps of volume so getting out back on big day is tuff but I'll keep it, I guess its good for those small days. Its major downfall is definitely these cracks, just spotted another one :x Its also an expensive board that does not come with any fin's

Thanks Paulg - I ended up going with a custom built 'mini mal' shape (because I'm old and may as well buy expensive boards). Actually, it was the same price as the Addvance and the shaper lives up the road from where I surf so I can always find him if there are any issues.... But sounds like the Addvance does live up to its 'hype'
