2 More Liters of Volume?

I'm riding a 5'9 Fred Rubble that has 24.5 Liters of volume, but I'm looking for a bit better small wave board. I'm proficient/advanced so I can handle the recommended 5'6 Neck Beard, just as an example. The Neck Beard has 26.5 Liters of volume vs. 24.5 Liters. How much of a difference will I notice with 3 inches shorter and 2 Liters more volume, as far as wave catching and ability to skate/glide over the flat spots?

P.S. I surf Huntington Beach every morning, so that's the mush I'm referring to. Also I weigh 155lbs. and I'm 5'10.

Thanks a ton boys and girls.

Dude, you are asking an dengineering question, I doubt most of us actually look at the overall volume of a board when considering what board we want.

That said, the Rubble has a lot of width and thickness, so at 155 lbs you should be ok taking off a couple of inches, it will feel looser, but at the same time might be a little harder to catch waves.

Lastly, not sure if you are asking this, but if you are looking for a board that catches waves easier in small surf than the one you have you need to go bigger, not smaller, or at least wider...
