Shorter board advice

hi guys,

I am currently surfing a 6'0x20 rascal from proctor. I recently tried a 5'8 fish with twin fin setup and thought it would be more responsive.
I've been surfing for about 3 years now and im ready to step down a bit to get a little more progressive with my surfing.
sharper turns, responsive pumping etc.

I'm thinking of getting a standard shortboard, nothing fancy like all the new hybrids out there. just a nice standard functional board.
There are too many to choose from right now, and im getting overwhlemed by it all. The closest one i came across is the CI Fred Rubble..

I normally surf beach break waves at hong kong where it gets to 5ft if we're really lucky. but normally its in the 3-4ft range.
I'm 5'8 150lbs and an intermediate surfer.

Any help would be deeply appreciated.

cheers.

I think the Fred Rubble would be a great choice. With a lower entry rocker and a wider outline, it sounds like just what you are looking for. The lower entry rocker and wider outline will help with paddling and catching waves as well as make it an easier board to ride while still being a high performance board.
