Surfing isnt about surfing the smallest board possible, its about getting the most waves and then surfing them as well as you can - so it's only time to move down a size when your board wont do something you want it to because its too big.

I would like a more responsive board, roughly what size would be good.

When is it time to get a smaller board? There is no easy answer for that one, short of surfing with you and knowing you for a while I would say it's time to get one when you can catch waves easily but are looking for more performance.

If you are still having problems getting into waves or making your pop ups then not yet.

If you aren't sure, get someone to trade boards with you, if not a bud just start a conversation in the lineup.
