CI - The rookie

Postby JasonMoorecheese » Thu Mar 10, 2011 3:35 am

Thinking about getting this board. Any opinions on it? I live in the LA area and surf around Malibu/Zuma/Point Dume as well as Venice, El Porto and HB.

The dimensions are 5'11 x 18 1/4 x 2 1/8. However i weigh 165lbs and I'm thinking these dimensions may be a little bit too small.

The fact that you're asking on a forum whether a board is suitable for you leads me to conclude that you're still a relative newbie?
As a general rule, "If you have to ask, then yes, its too short for you".

That's a small, high performance board so I'm pretty certain thats going to be way too small for you.

The fact that you gave me such a pompous response leads me to believe that you're full of yourself. I'm a newbie because I want to know how that board performs? Just curious to know people's feed back on it since all i could find was the actual reviews for the board. Not people's own responses.
"That's a small, high performance board" - Wow... really good observation... That helps. I wonder how many boards I can say that about.

I would call Zuma a beginner's break, but it can get scary big.

I learned to agree with them, if you have to ask if it's too small, it is. Don't worry about your board when you are just starting out. Worry about surfing as much as you can.
