i am making myself a twin fin surf board and need some advice on twin fin placement!
is it ok if i place the fin at tail = 5 3/8", front toe in = 5 1/4?
because i heard this placement is fast on the line but poor on the turn.

Hi Gede
Wish you success with the fins.
I suggest you look at Uncle Jaffa's fin primer, after all I wrote it!,
That's so you can get your terms right toe in is expressed in degreesÂș and there ar other factors to consider.
Have a look at that check out a twin fin you like and take some measurements. I think that is the best advice I can give
Are you doing plugs, boxes or glass ons some tricks needed with each to get right. Also what size fins are you going to use.
Check the primer.
Why?
Because twin fins are notoriously fickle to bad fin placement and a good board shape can easily become a dog if the fins are wrong, and I really wish you luck! :D

What shape twinny is it going to be?
Most twins have the trailing edge of the fin around 1" to 1 1/4" from the rail the distance from the tail depends alot on the shape size and how you want the board to feel.
I went through a faze making little twinnys a while ago, think MR Super Twin squashed down to 5'6" with flat rocker. Great fun in the right waves. :D
