Surfing Waves

Got a Proctor 6'4" 20 x 2 5/8" Greased Pig. Proxy (epoxy), Carbon rail, Parabolic stringers with Kevlar deck. (5 box) I kinda went all out because the wife said ok and IM STOKED! Have not got it wet yet. I think any board I add to the quiver will be cheaper HAHA! At my age I wanted to see what the high grade boards were like.
I feel like a kid! There really is something about the shaper to surfer experience

Don when u gonna surf that thing? Looks like we should have some good surf this week. Im still doing mornings in the week before work. Really the best time to go. Everybody and there mom is out on the weekends.

I was told to not surf it for a week. I'm going with what I was told. Believe me im going nuts not using it. The wife can hear me rub on it from the other room LMAO!

LOL It depends on the rain, If its light i will go out. I try to stay away from heavy rains since i got wrecked last big storm.

Ya you should definitely wait at least a week if the shaper told you too. I've seen guys pick their boards up from the shop and run straight to the beach only to jump into the water and have their board snap! Not fun if you actually watched the whole process of your board being shaped, not to mention cost! Whats your local break?

It will be 10 to 11 days dry by the time I get it wet. Local? Santa Cruz area. I go down so-cal now and again hit the old stomp grounds, El Porto mostly. I grew up surfing down there. I just hit Venice with a new buddy about two weeks ago, good times. I hit Porto at least once every time I go down.
I guess my local break is Calif haha! I drive and drive.
I drive 2 to 4 hours to surf 4 hours LOL!

Haha cool. I surf Manhattan Beach mostly. I go to Porto a lot too.

Well all I can say is it's SICK! It's so fast and super responsive. I used it as a Quad (SF 4) , Next time I will try the thruster set (G-AM). Waves were 5' up to 8'
Now the wait to see if I get sick haha! It was still a Zoo out there. in with a pack of about 25+ peeps on same peak, about 1/2 longboards.
I AM STOKED!
