Sup guys!

I currently use a fish tank(like its big) its 6'6 x 22 x 2 7/8 epox. so its floats like a boat. For my shortboard i use a D'Baugh 6'5 x 19.2 x 2 1/4. I weigh 210+-5lbs depending on my mood lol. I'm 6'0, and that dosn't change with mood lol. ANyway I know that shortboard is really small for me, which i kinda get the feeling it is. I don't know but sometimes i feel like i sink it on a turn or maybe i havn't ridden a shortboard enough yet. Anyway

I want to get a Al Merrick Flyer, heard great things and now i want one. I am looking for the demensions
Lenght: 6'2" width: 19.5 thickness: 2.5 with a squash tail. Is this a good size? or shoudl i just go ahead for the 6'5? i really think it would be nice smaller. Any suggestions? i kinda want one lol.

Dude, got got it spot on. I'm 200lbs +- holiday food, 44yrs old. I have both a 6'2 x 19.5 x 2.5 squash and a 6'5 x 19.5 x 2.5 thumb. I would have to say the 6'2 is easier to duckdive but I miss less rides with the 6'5.

I prefer the 6'5 because when it's big the 6'2 just doesn't cut it for paddling. The 6'5 I've had out in baja 12ft faces with no problems, had the 6'2 at churches (orange co.) overhead and a half and I had to paddle super hard to get into the wave, still caught them, but had to work harder.

Your choice, you won't mind either.

I would get a 6'4, seeing your weight and height I think a 6'4 would be really fun.
